Flood Insurance

One of the components of protecting your home is purchasing homeowners insurance. However, most homeowner’s policies do not cover flood damage, leaving your home and its contents vulnerable to loss. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), floods result in over $1 billion of property damage each year. The damages caused by rising water and the subsequent destruction that ensues is often catastrophic. Simply put, the final component in protecting your home is acquiring flood insurance.

Different Types of Flood insurance

We offer two different types of flood insurance.
  1. Standard National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) coverage which is maximum dwelling coverage of $250,000 and $100,000 contents coverage. This program is the most economical for homes with a maximum replacement cost under $500,000 or you wish to self insure the difference. This program provides the standard coverage and follows the NFIP flood guidelines.
  2. We proudly offer Chubb Flood Insurance for homes greater than $500,000 in replacement cost and for home owners looking for true replacement cost for homes up to $15,000,000 total property limit at one location. This policy includes coverage even if the flood is confined to just the insured property or “confined flood”, true replacement cost basis, increased limits for fine arts, collectibles, jewelry, additional living expenses, finished basements, coverage for rebuilding to code, and more.
